Why Choose EP+R Spine Boards?
Our complete line of BAK-PAK™ spine boards is the result of hard work and extensive experimentation by experts in orthotics, pre-hospital care, engineering and rotational molding. Our boards incorporate a number of innovative design and production features to make them the lightest yet strongest spine boards available anywhere. EP+R remains the only manufacturer of plastic spine boards who actually has plastics and rotational molding experts “in house” to oversee design and production.
What makes the BAK-PAK™ spine board line so lightweight and rugged? We use a specially compounded linear low density polyethylene outer shell that gives the BAK-PAK™ superior impact resistance at the coldest temperatures (tested to -40 degrees C). Also incorporated into our seamless designs is space-age carbon fiber pultruded tube technology placed out bound in the handles. This prevents fluid contamination and allows us to create a spine board that is ultra-light (10 Ibs.) and ultra-strong (weight tested to 1400 Ibs.) giving the BAK-PAK™ the best overall strength to weight ratio in the industry. The BAK-PAK™ boards without pins are 100% X-Ray translucent. All our spine boards come equipped with the Strap-Pak™ Patient Restraint Starter Kit and includes an exclusive life time warranty!
